Certified organic, European nigra elderberries are a great option.
NOTE – Elderberries contain a compound that forms cyanide – proper cooking of elderberries is very important to ensure you remove the cyanide. Do not consume raw/uncooked. If making tea, I suggest simmering the 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of elderberries for 3-4 minutes by themselves then adding in your other tea ingredients, remove from heat, and allow to steep until it reaches your preferred temperature for enjoyment.
